A disabled director and performer, Daryl started his Career at Central Television Drama Workshop, in Nottingham, where he performed in a variety of Children's TV shows. Working as an actor for many years, in Theatre, Radio, TV and film, allowed Daryl to explore and formulate his own approach. In 2002, he became Associate Director for Half Moon Young People's Theatre. In 2005 Daryl set up his own company to tour Moments in Motion, with Arts Council funding. In 2006 he became Artistic Director for Kazzum Arts Project. Since joining Kazzum Daryl has directed 'The Boy Who Grew Flowers' a touring show for 4-8 year olds that introduces disability and difference to young audiences, 'HUNT' a site specific piece that looks at the effect of war and conflict for audiences aged 10+ and 'Paper People' a new streets arts work for family audiences. Daryl Is currently working on a new show 'Beginning With Blobs' a touring show for 4-8 year olds that uses Darwin's theory of evolution as its inspiration.
Daryl has worked in the young people's sector for many years, delivering youth arts projects for Creative partnerships, Artsplan, Edinburgh International Festival, Proteus Theatre and Graeae Theatre Company.
