Kazzum is a young people's theatre and participative arts company. Since 1989 we've applied innovative to producing theatre that allows young people to become part of a captivating experience in a safe environment.

Our work focuses on three key areas - Collaboration, Diversity and Communication. Our aim is to promote the empowerment of the individual in order for them to make informed and positive decisions about their lives. To do so our work respects the emotions, perceptions and experiences of young people.

Kazzum is committed to ensuring its work is accessible to people who do not normally have the chance to experience the arts. We aim to offer a quality experience to every young person either as an audience member, participant or artist.

Kazzum is committed to genuine equality of opportunity for all. Our work draws inspiration from many international sources, developing its work from diverse stories, genres and art forms. Working with artists and organisations to achieve this creates opportunities for diverse casting and the formation of exciting creative teams.

The celebration of difference and diversity is the thematic link to all of Kazzum's work. In creating energetic, poignant and entertaining theatre and by exploring barriers, be they physical, cultural or attitudinal, Kazzum widens the boundaries and scope of young people's theatre as a tool of communication.

Kazzum is committed to developing and creating new audiences for its work. It does so with a range of specialist workshops for young people, and with outreach and educational work.

Kazzum will continue to raise its profile and that of young people's theatre, both nationally and internationally by creating opportunities for audiences, participants and artists to share in the company's aims and work.
